Is a broken garage door spring dangerous to replace myself?

Should I repair or replace my garage door?

My opener runs but the door will not move. What is wrong?
Usually a snapped spring or a disengaged trolley. Do not keep running the opener. It can burn out the motor against a dead door. Pull the red release cord only if the door is fully closed, and give us a call.
